I know some of my faithful blog readers have been wondering where I've been. I'm checking in to tell you that I'm still here and I'll be coming back to the blog soon with many new and exciting things to share.

2010 has started off with a bang! I've been busier than ever which was an unepexted surprise. I just love working with all of my amazing families and I can't thank you enought for your business. In addition to editing your pics, desigining your walls and gallary frames and desigining your announcements I'm finalizing a new blog which will be published soon (first post will feature all of my amazing newborns and toddlers I've done so far this year).

As I type this blogpost (from my bb) I'm currently revitialzing my photography mojo in St. Michael's Maryland witha groups of 60 momtogs like myself. Its only day 2 of 4 and I just can't wait to get home and unleash my inspiration.

Please bear with me as I put the finishing touches on the new and improved blog. I am taking appointments but I am booked out until May so start booking those Spring and Summer sessions now.

I was thrilled to wake up this January morning and find that the January weather was mild and perfect for an outdoor photo session. We changed our plans (originally planning on an indoor session at their home) and the H family took a little drive up to Wyckoff and met me at one my favorite locations - The Wildlife Center!

Check out the big bright blue eyes on the little one. They just glimmer. And I just love the photo of the little mountain man and his hiking stick. He found that on his own. . . what a perfect moment to capture.

It was a pleasure working with the H family - I hope you enjoy your sneak peek - More to come soon!

Pink Ruffe Butts (West Caldwell NJ Photography and North New Jersey Children and Newbron Photographer)

Pink Ruffle Butts may be my new favorite item for little girls big and small. I tell all my moms that less is more when photographing little ones. Diaper covers, hats and headbands are all you need to dress up these little ones. The mom of these two adorable gals found PINK RUFFLE diaper covers which were perfect for our photo session. What a find!! We added some hats and baby legs for a little variety and the photos came out perfect! Check out the photos of these two adorable sisters. Baby was a perfect little model - she was pretty happy during most of these session. Big sister who is 13 months old and on the move - also was happy to strike a few cute poses for us with the help of my magic bell :-)

A Much Needed Vacation ( NJ New Jersey Kids Children's Portrait Photographer )

Happy New Year Everyone (a bit late). I intended to post something New Years day -but after an extremely busy holiday season of picture taking - I am only catching my breathe now. I am spending this snowy winter week up at my family's cabin with my two boys and taking some time a way from picture taking and editing - BUT of course I can't miss a few opportunities to capture some moments of the boys playing in the snow. The above photo is my 2 year old son Charlie. All he wants to do is ride snowmobiles or have me pull him in the sled. I prefer the snowmobiles :-)

In the next couple days I'll be posting some information about the new "quote" books that I am offering. I am working on one as we speak for Valentine's Day. I can't wait to finish it!

Picture Perfect! ( New Jersey NJ Family Portrait Photographer )

Last week I had the pleasure of photogaphing the the nicest family in Haworth NJ. When I arrived I met 15 adults and children and two pups and we really had a fun time during the session! When I spoke with the organizer of the session (who get's a bign kudos from me for organizing this group) - we decided that we wanted to try to make the session as whimisical and fun as possible within the contrainsts of photographing with no natural light and a big group in a house. As I thought what to do - I decided to bring some pictures frames to use as props - and I really love how they turned out. You'll be seeing this more in my work I'm sure.

It also helps that every single person in this family was gorgeous! Grandma was not only gorgeous but very spunky. The little boys were full of energy and used my backdrop as a wrestling arena (so fun to watch). The 4 teenage girls took a picture in the same exact pose and order that did many years ago - these 4 gals are just stunning as young adults. We took all sorts of pictures, boys shots, gals shots, couples shots, family shots. We got a lot of photos in a very short amount of time thanks to the organization of these folks.

I really enjoyed meeting you all - and I hope you enjoy your photos.

Welcome to the World Baby R { NJ New Jersey NY Newborn Photographer }

I usually photograph newborns within the first 10 days of life. I met baby R when he was about 6 weeks old. Since My son is just a few weeks older than baby R - I knew to plan for a little extra time for this session. (For you new and expectant moms out there. . .let me explain why . . . the first couple weeks of a newborns life is like a warming up period. . . these new little cherubs sleep most of the day away and you can move and scrunch them in ANY position and they just keep on sleeping. . . it's WONDERFUL!!!!. . . But. . . by about the 4th or 5th week - these little guys "WAKE UP". They get a mind of their own AND they let you know it!) We are no longer in control!!!! And I think it lasts until they are about 18 years old! :-)

Since this guy had entered the "Wake Up" stage. . we took a lot of extra time and care to ensure that we kept him as happy as possible. Mom & Grandma were awesome and kept soothing this little guy so that we could give him some happy moments for photographing. We found the he likes to be diaperless and on his back the best and we had to be careful not to get those private parts in the photo. I love the photos where he is laying on his tummy and I have to say for 6 weeks old - Baby R was extremely alert and had amazing neck strength.

Happy Birthday Hubby { New Jersey NJ Maternity Photographer }

I knew I liked her before I even met her. Ms. A was super excited for this maternity shoot and was armed with ideas. The photos from this session were intended to be a surprise birthday gift for her husband. . . there are only a few more days until his birthday and I know she is still struggling with keeping the surpise for his special day.

I could have photographed the pregnant Ms. A all day. We had so so so many ideas including DJ headphones, race cars, ugg boots & a scarf, blocks, ice cream (yes, we ate it) & the ultra sound picture, just to name a few. I have so many favorites from this session I had trouble choosing which ones to post.

I'm sure you'll agree that Ms. A is simply stunning. I look foward to photographing that new little guy of hers in a few weeks!

Happy holidays to all my friends and clients. It was such a pleasure photographing all these gorgeous children (and mom's and dad's) this season. I have been keeping extremely busy so I have been neglecting the blog. It's late Sunday night and as I wait for my youngest son to drift off to sleep - I decided to post a few snipits from some of my recent photo shoots (I am posting small pics in hopes that I don't clog up the system). Here is the adorable son of one my old neighbors from highschool. . . it's so great to get together with old friends and their CHILDREN! Gosh I still feel like a kid myself.

Love that smile with the head tilt. . . what a perfect little model!

I have been lucky enough to photograph this little cutie 4 times since she was 6 months old . . .I keep thinking that it's impossible for her to get any cuter. . .she never ceases to amaze me. She's just gorgeous!

Gotta love Vintage Christmas. The daughter of friends from my old work (aka my real job). Isn't she precious?

And one of my favorite storyboards EVER! "I saw Mommy Kissing Santa Claus"

The cousins of baby G (I have photographed baby G twice). This two were all smiles. . . And the boy get's my award for Photography HAM of the season. He was a Fantastic subject! He was so into it. . . suggesting poses for himself and his sister. That was a fun shoot!

Does she look cold?? It was a freezing cold day. . She was such a trooper!

And coming up next. . .my ADORABLE neice and nephew. Although we couldn't get them to cooperate for Aunt Minnie to take a picture of them together - we did get some great individual shots. Still waiting for my Christmas card Kel! Lovin this one of sweet Cara!

and my favorite picture of ALL time of my buddy Ayden. He's grown up into a little man so quickly! I can't believe he is going to be 4 soon!

Can you say J crew models?

I photographed this little boy when we was only a few days old. I've taken his and his sisters pictures 3 more times after that. I just love watching my little clients grow up from behind the lens.

Here's Mr. J. . . I took his picture last holiday season and as you can see - he was very excited to see me again!

Yes, you've seen this face many times before. . . One of my favorite little clients. She is the most agreeable little 2 year old EVER. . . and she is cute as a button. She's going to be a big sister soon! I can't wait to photograph the new addition to this family!

I LOVE NEWBORNS!!! I LOVE NEWBORNS!!!! I LOVE NEWBORNS!!!!

And this is why I love newborns. The creative options are endless. This guy was such a trooper - he just cuddled up and fell asleep in any position we put him in. Even when we hung him on the wall - LOL!

and finally. . . give this guy a POP (aka lollipop) and he'll at least look at you when you are trying to take a photo. These days. . .No POP = TEARS, SCREAMING and ABSOLUTELY NO SMILES. Welcome terrible two's. I love you buddy.

A is for Ardvarks ( NJ New Jersey Children's Kids Photographer ) Wyckoff Wildlife Center

I had the pleasure of meeting little A and his mommy at the Wyckoff Wildlife Center. They had the unfortunate experience of hearing me sing the famous Music for Ardvarks song "Taxi". Early on in the photo shoot - mom pointed out that this is one of his favorites songs and unluckily for them - it is a song I know all the words (and hand motions) to. The song seemed to be the key to getting those adorable cheeky grins from little A - so I sang and I sang and I sang as I photographed. I should note that my husband is convinced that I am completely tone deaf! Sorry guys - it had to be torture. Despite my singing, little A was in great spirits and happy to strike some ADORABLE poses for the camera. He was such a good little subject and a true pleasure to spend time with. I think this family's Christmas cards are going to be stunning with this little guy's face on them!

Little C ( NJ Childrens Kids Photographer ) Wyckoff Wildlife Center

Today I met up with the beautiful little C and her mother at the Wyckoff Wildlife Center. We were a little nervous about the weather forcast for today - but lucky for us the weather man was wrong again (as usual). It was a perfectly warm and sunny November day (the weather man predicted November rain).

Mom dressed little C in the cutest outfit (LOVE THOSE BOOTS!). Her hair do was just too cute for words too - I am a sucker for pigtails. Little C reminded me of a minature Sacajawea and the setting at the Wyckoff Wildlife Center was perfect!

Since I have a 2 year old myself - I expect a little run for my money when I schedule an shoot for that age - but little C proved me wrong. She was truly the most delightful and agreeable little girl EVER! What a pleasure it was to spend an hour with her.

W Family Holiday Photos - ( NJ and PA New Jersey and Pennsylvania Childrens Kids Photographer ) Reading Museum Wyomissing PA

I had the pleasure to photograph the W family again this year. We met in Pennsylvania at the Reading Museum which is close to where I grew up. We couldn't ask for a more perfect day, the sky was blue, the weather was warm and the children were delightful.

As a freelance photographer of mostly children - I find extra joy in photographing children throughout the seasons/years. Children grow up so quickly. Just last year little J wasn't walking or really talking. . . this year he is walking and has a phenomenal vocabulary. Big sister M started first grade this year - what a milestone - and I am convinced she get's more beautiful each year. She is definitely going to be a heart breaker. And - let's not forget about the animated D. She has a smile that can light up a room and those EYES. . . ooooh those eyes are just stunning. I think my absolute favorite photo from this session is of her little face by the red bridge (you'll see what I am talking about below).

Our Friend S - ( New Jersey NJ Kids Children Photographer and Photography )

This afternoon Charlie, Matty and I met our with our friends S and J at the Wyckoff Widlife Center (one of my favorite places). S and Charlie are good buddies now. . . in fact I actually bribe Charlie with "if you behave we can go to S's house", and it has been working like a charm. Mom J says she uses the same bribe in reverse. It's truly a match made in heaven.

It was a beautiful fall day and Charlie and S had a blast running around outside while Matty slept soundly in the stroller. S was eager to have his pictures taken today (so long as he was allowed plenty of breaks to chase Charlie or have Charlie chase him).

I am loving these photos of our friend S. His blonde hair and bright blue eyes just sparkle. I can't wait for mom and dad to see them all!! Until then. . .here is the sneak peek! Enjoy!

D Family - Wyckoff Wildlife Center - ( New Jersey NJ Bergen County Kids Children Photographer & Photography)

The moment I met the D boys - I knew we were going to have a great session. They were both so adorable, dressed in the cutest sweaters and smiling from ear to ear.

Older D - was quite the ham. . smiling and posing for EVERY picture. I couldn't ask for a better model. Younger D (who is quite the dare devil) was also eager to give the camera some priceless cheeky smiles as he ran around and enjoyed the freedom from the stroller. Mom definitely had to be on point with this little guy as she tried to stay within arms reach to make sure he didn't take a jump of the bridge or go for a swim in the lake.

I'm excited to share the sneak peek of these adorable boys and can't wait to finish the entire gallery (hopefully by next week mom!). In the meantime, I wouldn't be surprised if Mini Boden or Crew Cuts or some other agent contacts mom to see about contracting these two cuties for magazine modeling.

T Family - Wyckoff Wildlife Center (New Jersey NJ Children Kids Family Photographer)

Another beautiful day in New Jersey! Late Sunday afternoon I met up with the T family at the Wyckoff Wildlife Center (one of my favorite places to photograph). Even though there was a huge Halloween festival going on and pony rides were blocking one of my favorite spots to shoot - we were able to capture some gorgeous photos of the girls and the family.

Mom dressed the girls in the cutest outfits and brought along the coolest hats! The girls were so sweet and very willing to "strike a pose" in front of the camera.

I started editing these pictures this afternoon and all I can say is "Wow"! These are two cute little girls who are going to be breaking some hearts in a few years! I could have photographed these two cuties forever. It was such an enjoyable session.

G Family October (New Jersey NJ Childrens Photographer)

Another beautiful October day in Jersey. Today I met up with the G Children for holiday photos and portraits. It was almost strange to photograph these gorgeous boys in the red holiday sweaters while Mom and I were sweating in our short sleeves. But I am not complaining - this is my type of photography weather. I had a great time photographing this family - and I even got to play on the jungle a bit with the eldest G boy. I brought my newborn son Matty with me to the shoot (a stipulation I have right now for weekday sessions until he is old enough to go to the sitter), he was not as well behaved as this two boys (a bit cranky) - but never the less we were able to get some fabulous pics. Thanks G family for inviting me to your home to photograph and thanks to Mom and Big Bro G for lending a helping hand with little Matty!

Happy Birtday to my little Matty (New Jersey NJ Newborn Photographer)

The newest addition to our family arrived at 8:23 am on September 24, 2009. Matthew Renner Dvorscak was 20 inches long and weighed 8 lbs. 7 oz. He is a happy and healthy little man and we are just thrilled to welcome him to our family.

I've finally got around to posting a few (of the many photos) I've been taking of him.

Newborn E (New Jersey NJ Newborn Photographer)

I love photographing newborns. Have I said that before? :-) They are always so cooperative just as long as we stop for a break when they get hungry. Little E was no exception. She was happy to model for us today and almost made it through the 1 hour session without a break.

We took the photographs of little E in her bedroom. The walls were painted in the nicest shade of pink - which we used as a background. She had beautiful furniture which we took advantage of it and even photographed her on top of a book shelf and even in a dresser drawer. Little E slept for the first part of the session and then woke up a bit about 1/2 way through. Once I saw those big beautiful eyes - I was so thankful that she decided wake up for a bit.

J Family - Entire Family - Part 2 ( New Jersey NJ Family Portrait Photographer )

As promised, here is part II of the J Family Sneak Peek. I truly enjoyed photographing this beautiful and fun loving family. This was quite a big group and we spent a lot of time making sure we got lots of pictures of all the different combinations of family members. I loved that the whole family participated in coming up with some posing ideas, including the one posted below of the kids jumping in the air - what a cool photo! I have to give a shout a to the Tia's who were also an important part of the day. . . I just love the reference to them as the Tia's. And of course special kudos to baby Grace who was awoken from her nap to participate in the last half of the family shoot - she was truly and Angel. Oh and I would be remiss if I didn't mention the 3 pups who also snuck in a few photos and Toby the golden lab who would have preferred to stay in the frame of all the pics - what a ham!

I'm so thrilled the weather held up for us - I think we just missed a serious rainstorm (which I drove through on the way home).

J Family - Baby G - Part 1 ( New Jersey NJ Baby Children Photographer )

The God's were smiling on us today. The forecast was calling for Thunderstorms all day. I even suggested rescheduling; however, we stuck with out original plan and it turned out to be a fantastic day to shoot the large J family. I spent 3 hours with the family and baby G and got so many great pics!

All of the members of the J family were such a pleasure to work with, including baby G - who modeled for us for 1 1/2 hours without complaint. She is one of the happiest babies (as well as gorgeous) that I have seen.

Since we took so many pictures today (can you believe that I could of taken about 100 more?) - I decided to post the sneak peek in two Parts. Below are a few from Part I - Baby G. I'll post Part II - the entire J Family soon.

A Walk In The Woods

I've been keeping quite busy this summer; however, I definitely made sure I put aside some time for a little R & R. As we approach mid August I realize I only have 1 month left to prepare for the birth of my second son! Am I ready??? Not at all. Not even close. But my week away in the woods with my son, my friend and her daugther was definitely what the Dr. ordered. I am ready to start on Monday preparing the babies room, shopping for supplies I need (bottles, diapers, etc.) and saving the past 2 years of Charlie videos to hard media so that there is room for baby # 2. Hopefully I can accomplish this by Friday - as I am taking one last vacation before my due date. We are heading to the beach for a week! Yippiee!

For those of you who have been contacting me about fall/holiday pictures. . . I can assure you that I am also going to make some time this week to organize and finalize my fall photography schedule. Expect to see an email blast soon!

Note: The picture above is a favorite photograph of mine from last weeks trip to the woods. It's my friend and her daughter (edited using a funky new editing technique I recently learned) ! I think this is such a special picture!

Newborn V ( NJ Newborn Photographer)

Newborn V has finally arrived! I photographed her beautiful mommy and handsome daddy just a few weeks before she was born. It's always fun to come back after a maternity session to see the little newborns.

The session was so fun. V was truly the perfect little model. She was bright eyed and bushy tailed for almost the entire session (which is very rare for newborns). We did a ton of outfit changes and she was just fine with it!

I am so excited to post these pics for mommy and daddy to peek at. Enjoy your beautiful daughter! She is truly a blessing!

Christening Day for Little G ( New Jersey NJ Christening Photographer )

On Sunday I had the honor of attending and photographing the Christening of Little G. What a special day! We started the day at her home where we took a few photos of her Godmother dressing her for her special day. She wore the most beautiful dress - the embroidery was remarkable. The dress was actually the same one that her mother and aunts wore for their christenings - very special. After she was dressed - she had a quick bottle and then it was off to the church for the ceremony. She was such a good girl for the entire day and it was wonderful to be a part of the day!

What a beautiful (and very hot) day to photograph the gorgeous little J. I met up with her and her parents at Verona Park this morning. We tried to get the photo shoot in early to beat the heat. . but by 9 am it was already scorching!

This is the second time I was luckily enough to photograph little J. She is always such a pleasure and her pictures turn out just gorgeous. Mom and Dad are moving soon so I am very sad.

There were so many pictures that I love from this session that it was hard to choose a few for the sneak peek. Here are 4 of my favorites. . . there are many more. Enjoy!

Today I had a little mini photo of sweet little Ava. She is the daughter of two of my very good friends. I can't believe she is already 1 month old! Isn't she just darling?

June Maternity Session

Today I had the privilege of meeting the nicest couple who is expecting their first baby girl in just a few more weeks. I will be lucky enough to meet their little bundle of joy since they have already booked me for a newborn session - how exciting!

I really love maternity photo shoots - the women I meet are just so beautiful and the pictures are so filled with emotion. I also LOVE the excitement of first time moms. . .I feel like I was there not too long ago (hard to believe that in only a couple months I'll have # 2 - yikes!).

This soon to be mommy had the most beautiful complexion and skin - her belly was even tan! How jealous was I??? She just looked beautiful in all the poses.

We did a lot of indoor intimate pictures and then headed to a nearby park for a few final outdoor pics. We definitely got a lot of pictures in a short amount of time. . . AND we beat a major rainstorm by about 30 seconds or so! Perfect timing!

We spent this beautiful weekend at my family's cabin with some good friends. Of course I took my camera out and snapped a few photos of the boys playing. Thought I'd share one of my favorites. This is our friends son. . . getting wet by the hose spray from the Dad's cleaning off a very muddy 4 wheeler.

The C Family

What a beautiful day for some family portraits. I met up with the C family at the Wyckoff Wildlife Center. This is just a small little park - but there are just so many great spots to take fun candid photographs. I had a great time photographing this beautiful family. The kids were great sports and willingly participated in "ultimate photography" (definition - Action shots of the kids jumping off picnic tables, doing cartwheels and climbing trees).

This session just flew by. We got in sooooooo many poses in such a short period of time. As I glance through the photos I will tell you that some of my favorites are the unplanned impromptu shots. There are a bunch I really love.

M's Christening Day

Today was a special day for little M. It was his Christening Day. I was lucky enough to be invited by Mom and Dad to take some pictures of the ceremony and reception. I have photographed little M and his older sister a few times before and I always look forward to it. They are just the two cutest little darlings.

The ceremony was quite quick. . . held in a beautiful church in Hawthorne. The stained glass in this church was truly jaw dropping and the alter was immense. I must also say, I was very impressed by the Priest they chose. He was extremely friendly and personable.

A nice size group of family and friends witnessed the ceremony and the entire group celebrated the day at a dinner reception in Hackensack. Mom (who looked stunning by the way) - was quite prepared with seating cards, awesome favors and a unique sign in book where each guests' photograph will be inserted next to their note. I am pretty sure we got everybody's photo taken so that book can be completed.

The S Family

I had the pleasure of photographing the S family last week. I often wonder how I am so lucky to be able to photograph the most gorgeous children. These two little ones (A & A) were no exception and it is no surprise after you see their beautiful mother and father. I also can not forget to mention the stunning Aupair "D" who lent a helping hand during our session. . I think there was mention of her being on a cover. . . I can assure you it is not an exaggeration.

We had 2 hours allotted for this photo shoot. I was enjoying this session so much that the time just flew by so quickly. Mom had the most adorable outfits picked out for the girls and I must give her "props" for her "props" - she was extremely prepared with an arsenal of balloons, hats, glasses, necklaces, etc. I really could have taken pictures all day.

Little A blessed me with about a million of the cutest smiles. I couldn't press the camera trigger fast enough to capture them all :-) Big A preferred setting up her own poses and I think she had a lot of fun jumping on beds, squeezing (and biting) her stuffed animals and catching balloons and bubbles.

Christening Day for Little L

It was the most beautiful and perfect day to celebrate the Christening of Little L. I feel so lucky to have been a part of it. I arrived at Little L's home for a Pre-Christening photo shoot and then traveled to the church to capture the ceremony.

Little L was extremely happy and relaxed all day long.

He even managed a little catnap at the perfect time (while traveling to the church). Little L definitely gets his easy going personality from his parents who kept their cool and "went with the flow" on a very busy day. What a pleasure this family was to work with. They made me feel right at

home from the moment I arrived and I felt like part of the family by the end of the day.

I truly enjoyed photographing this special day. Not only is Little L - the cutest little subject ever - but the entire family was extremely personable and very accomadating when it came to picture taking.

H Family - Spring 2009

Today I had the pleasure of photographing little M and littler M. I actually took their pictures a few months ago when littler M when only a few days old. Boy does time fly, he is already sitting up by himself. Both Little M and Littler M were fantastic models. Little M warmed up to me quickly and did a fantastic job posing AND helping me take pictures. I was thrilled with how much we could get the littlest M to look dead on in the camera; however, getting him to give us a smile was quite a chore. He was a very serious little man today.

It was a gorgeous day today - the first nice day of the spring. The sun was shining brightly by 9 am (when our photo shoot began). We had to be a little creative a look for some shadier spots so the sun wouldn't be shining in their eyes (causing them to squint). For most of the pictures we used the side of the brick stairs heading down to the patio. After looking at these photos - I must admit - I love this this look. It gives it a kind of urban/street beat feel.

Newborn G

I just love shooting newborns. They are so tiny and precious. Little 3 week old G was no exception. What a sweetie. She was such a good girl - even when we gave her a little chill for some nudie shots. Thanks mom for letting me try out the new hat I bought.

I also had the pleasure of meeting little G's grandmother, grandfather and cousins. What a lovely family! They all made me feel right at home! Grandmother also gave me some good advice. Hopefully she reads this blog and learns that she was right on the money - Charlie IS allergic to cats! We found out today.

Cousin A stayed the entire time and supervised the photo session. In between outfit changes we snapped a few portraits of him and his humongous smile (minus 2 front teeth). He also was such a great sport and posed for a few with little G.

The P Family

Today I had the pleasure of photographing the P family. This was my second time photographing little A and O - and I was reminded of how easy going and photogenic these two are. See picture below. . .

I also met their cousins and for such a young little girl, "A" was excellent at responding to my requests. She was also full of smiles - Some with teeth, some with eyes closed and some just perfect grins like in this picture. . .

This weekend I had a little visit with my good friend "B" and her adorable daughters "O" and "G". Mommy picked out some adorable outfits for the girls to wear, and we were able to find some cute props to match. I just love the photos with the toy dog! The girls took turns getting their pictures taken and luckily there were a few moments when they agreed to stand next to each other. Poor little G, got a bit upset when O gave her a hug around the neck that was a bit too hard. Poor direction on my part when I told her to squeeze :-)

I am sure your Mommy and Daddy would agree that you are growing up so quickly.

"A" had his first birthday party the day before our photo shoot and from the looks of things, he made out like a bandit. He must of been a good boy this year.

I have to admit, A was quite an easy baby to photograph. He was full of smiles and hamming it up for the camera, especially in our little made up beach scene.

The weather this day was so mild, so we were able to go outside for a bit. We even were lucky enough to get a family portrait that included the dog :-)

Little A - 9 Months Already!

This was my second time photographing the gorgeous little A. I couldn't believe how much she had grown since the last time I saw her.

Little A had a big event coming up as she was getting christened the next day. So to honor the event we took a few photos of her in her Christening gown as we held our breathe and prayed for no drool, spit up or stains.

Big cheeky smiles from little A were few and far between unless Grandpa was in the room. We did manage to get some great shots with some adorable expressions. Here is the sneak peek. . .

February Maternity Session - Sneak Peek

Did I have a fun day today? You betcha! I had the pleasure of photographing the beautiful Miss L and her handsome beau D. I just finished my first review of the photos and I just love them. I swear L was a model in a previous life, although she denied it when I asked.

This was such a fun session. L came prepared with outfit changes, props and ideas. Both D and L were such great sports as we experimented with poses. We cracked up when I instructed L into a pose which resembled the George Costanza couch pose.

M Family

Today I had the pleasure of meeting the M Family and their cousins from Pennsylvania. When I arrived I was greated by the two most adorable little girls in pink dresses who were very excited to have their pictures taken. Big Sister G - was like a little professional model, she has the most beautiful smile and willingly posed for the camera. Little Sister G - was also quite a little ham - but she needed a few breaks in between. She insisted on taking some pictures with her BaBa (which turned out adorable) and gave some great smiles during the session. Mommy was a big help as she had some arsenial in her back pocket and did a little bribing with lollipops. The older cousins were just darling people and Cousin H - was quite a character. I think we have a George Constanza pose in there somewhere (you know there one - where he poses in his boxer shorts on a couch). Don't worry - this rendetion was performed fully clothed. Here is a sneak peek of the session.

Our Trip to Cincinnatti

We are back! We have returned from our trip from Ohio and survived the holidays. Charlie had a great time in Ohio visiting Ben and Blake. He loved the airplane and was such a good little traveler. We spent a lot of time taking pictures of the three kids - so I thought I'd post a few of my favorites. Here they are. . . Enjoy!

H Family Pennsylvania - Better late than never!

I have to apologize. I have been keeping very busy and have been falling behind in my blog posts. But as I always say "Better late than never!"

I visited the H Family in Pennsylvania last weekend. When I arrived, I was greeted by two pups that I'm not convinced were happy to see me and the most adorable little girl - who's smile goes from cheek to cheek.

We got ready for the shoot, in front of Mrs. H's beautifully decorated fireplace. Our first picture was one of the entire family (including the pups). I was prepared for a marathon of picture shooting in order to get the "money" shot - the one where everybody was posed and looking in the right direction! Amazingly - it didn't take very long at all and the family shot is gorgeous!

We also took individuals of little A, little A with Mommy and Daddy, a few of the pups and a few of Mommy and the pups. I have been raving about little A's Christmas dress. I loved it, and it photographed beautifully. Looking at Little A's pictures makes me want to have a little girl. :-)

A note on Little A - she was the most willing 6 month old client EVER! She smiled the entire time - and not a peep out of her and we posed her in about 100 different positions. What a doll!

I have so many favorites from this shoot. Here are a few I pulled. Now I am off to Cincinnati to visit my friend and her 12 month old twins. . . I can't wait for those pictures. . .Be back Monday!

I can't say I know many people that love dogs as much as I do - but Mrs. H is definitely one of them. She actively volunteers in rescue communities and his hugging one of her rescued pups below. How gorgeous are they?

I got to J's house bright and early. Apparently J had been practicing his poses before I arrived. He was a little shy at our initial greeting - but his shyness faded quickly. As soon as we got outside - he had a burst of energy and when I say burst, I mean burst. I could hardly keep up with him. We even had a little running race during the shoot. I had a goal of keeping his hair in place for the pictures, which was quite difficult due to the backflips and acrobatic routines he performed :-) J like some many other children I photograph - choose most of his poses. He was a good sport and sat (reluctantly) for a few formal poses as well. I had a blast photographing J this morning. I think I'll be sore tomorrow from the running race though :-) Here is a sneak peek of the session. . .

Little J

Finally, a mild day to take outside pictures. I had the pleasure of meeting little J and her mommy on this beautiful day. Her mom scoped out a great park to take the photos.

Little J was the most pleasant and darling little girl. She greeted me with a smile and seemed delighted to have her photos taken. Not even a peep out her as we dressed her up in the big fluffy Santa Suit (you'll see below). I don't know how I get so lucky to be able to photograph all these gorgeous blue eyed children. Little J is no expection.

We had quite a busy day. As I mentioned, we played a little dress up, we walked around the park for a bit and fed the ducks. Little J's mommy warned me ahead of time that the ducks at this park are not shy and BOY was she right. I had ducks flying (yes flying) out of the water and over my head as I was taking pictures. I don't recall the last time I saw ducks fly - but I can assure you - they are very clumsy in flight. I thought for sure one of them was going to fly right into my head :-)

I started reviewing the photos and I've pulled a few favorites - see below and enjoy! I certainly enjoyed my day with little J and her mom.

Brady Sneak Peek

I was lucky enough to photograph the adorable son of an old friend this weekend. And when I say old friend - I mean I used to play barbies with her. I must also note, about 8 years ago - after a few too many drinks, Brady's mom performed an unofficial wedding ceremony for me and a guy from our high school (I wasn't even dating him). She proclaimed "I am the Priestess and I feel compelled to marry you guys". She went on to say we'd make beautiful children. We too, had few too many drinks and obliged the Priestess by participating in her ceremony. The rest of the night is a little foggy - but surprisingly 6 years later, an official member of the clergy did marry me to that guy and we do have one cute kid. I often wondered about that night. Did she cast a spell on us during her ceremony?

Well when I met Mr. Brady, I am convinced that her witchcraft spell was also cast on her and her hubby. They too, produced one of the cutest little guys I've ever met. He has the biggest blue eyes, and the most precious little body. I took some close ups of his body parts (feet, ears, etc.) and plan to make a little collage. I can't wait to see how it turns out. His soft wrinkling little skin photographed so well.

Little Brady was not too thrilled about "Picture Day" - but he did hang in there long enough to get some really cute shots. I really enjoyed photographing this precious little guy - not only because he is too cute, but he reminded me of the past years with my son - especially "Splash Fest" :-)

I also have to give a shout out to Ms. JP Cuddles - who was more than eager to pose for us on her own terms.

Owen Sneak Peek

Happy Thanksgiving! We spent the holiday weekend with our families in Pennsylvania. Thanksgiving evening, my sister in -law, brother in-law and new little nephew arrived so we decided to do a little photo shoot. Little Owen was such a cooperative subject - he even sprinkled on the pee pad I gave him for the nudie shots! - as if he knew what it was for. I am browsing through the pictures now and have a bunch of favorites - a few of which I am posting here. Hopefully I can get the rest of them digitally developed quickly - cause I'm sure my sister in-law needs them for Christmas cards. Don't worry Alyson - I'll work quickly. Here is the sneak peek. . .

The K Family NJ Botanical Gardens - Sneak Peek

I met the lovely K Family at the NJ Botanical Gardens on another Chilly November day. I think we had our session rescheduled twice - (once due to rain and another time due to sickness) - so we were a little weary about how little C would handle the cold. Picture taking was definitely not on her agenda that day, but I don't think it was the cold that bothered her. I am convinced she was not a big fan of crazy lady with the camera. . .(everytime I got near her she burst into tears which broke my heart). I resorted to taking most of the pictures far away from her - not speaking and while in the arms of Mommy or Daddy. Thank god for Photoshop - I'm sure the K family is still going to get a ton of great shots to use for Holiday cards or framing. Here is a sneak peek - I am going to dedicate my time to finishing these after I eat my Thanksgiving turkey.

The B Family - Sneak Peek

It was another chilly November Day when I met the B Family at the NJ State Botanical Gardens (one of my favorite locations to take pictures).

This family was so friendly and relaxed - they were so easy to work with. The girls were excited for their photographs and even participated in picking out poses and locations to shoot. I just love when the kids pick the spots they want their pictures taken - it results in natural and fun poses and are usually some the best shots (you'll see below).

This family is just beautiful. The eyes on the two young girls just sparkle in all of the photographs. I absolutely love the poinsettia headbands.

Thank you B Family for being such troopers on this chilly November day.

This looks like it should be an advertisement in a magazine. These girls should be actresses. You can hardly tell it's 30 degrees outside and that they are shivering!

The K Family - Sneak Peek

When I arrived at the K Family's house, I was greeted with the warmest welcome I have ever received. Mrs. K immediately introduced me to her gorgeous family (you'll see what I mean) and showed me around her BEAUTIFUL home! There were so many crisp clean white walls in their home, I could have taken the pictures anywhere.

I believe plans were in place to watch the American Music Awards that evening so I don't think family portraits were on the top of the kids "To Do" list; however, they were certainly good sports. I definitely have never witnessed so much laughing during a photography session.

I adored this cheerful, easy going, country music loving family. I was even more impressed when I learned that Mrs. K has also started a remarkable and unique home business.

As I am going through the pictures, I have decided that the K Family missed their calling as magazine models. They look the All American Family - I think you'll agree.

The H Family - Sneak Peek

I couldn't of dreamed up a better spot to take pictures than the home of the H Family. The children's rooms were beautifully painted which made for gorgeous shots. The windows in the living room provided a beautiful ambient lighted background.

The subjects of my shoot, M and M couldn't have been cuter. The littlest M was the youngest baby I have ever photographed and boy did I get lucky. Wide eyed and extremely alert, he was content in any position he was placed. Although we had some great visions for Big Sister M's individual photographs, she had her own ideas, and to her credit -her poses were great.

I took a quick glance at the pictures tonight as they were uploading, and I pulled a few of them for the sneak peek. I have so many favorites from this shoot, I wish I had time to post them all. Here are just a few.

The W Family - Sneak Peek

It was definitely a chilly November day in Ridgewood, NJ, but M was a trooper and still wanted to go outside and play in the leaves. While she played outside, we took some action shots and a few poses with Mommy, Daddy and Aunt Alla (spelling?). After about 20 minutes, the cold got the best of us, and we decided to finish the shoot inside. What a beautiful family and I must comment, M is the most polite little girl I have ever had the pleasure of meeting. I have a packed schedule for tomorrow, so I decided to post some a few of my favorites so the Wishnew Family could get a sneak preview. I hope to have the finished gallery ready to view by Monday.

Love Love Love this! She is laying on her Mommy's leg and resting her head on her Uggs! This is another favorite! The color version is beautiful too!

M spent a lot of time baking cakes for her family and friends.

Day 1 of Blogging

Well thanks to an old friend, I realized I wasn't up to speed on the importance or popularity of the blogging world - especially for photographers. This is my first of what I hope to be many posts about my endeavors in starting a small photography business. I am going to spend the next couple days learning about blogging and I hope to post some pictures soon. In the meantime you can check out my website.
